I really don't see what the point of this video is. Yeah, the kid is about two years too young, but so what?
It's a father sharing a hobby that he loves with his son.

Propel metallic objects at high velocities in a straight line.

Why? You didn't know that? Or are you trying to say that every one that owns a gun intends on using it to kill someone?

Obviously not everyone who owns a gun is going to kill someone with it, whether purposefully or accidentally. I'm not anti-gun at all, I have no problem with citizens owning a gun or using one for recreation as long as they are responsible and are willing to accept any ramifications.

But teaching a toddler to use one is not wise. The little boy here was just like "Whoo, loud noises and getting hugged by Dad is fun!" He's too young to understand the possible negative consequences of wielding a weapon. He probably doesn't even understand the concept of death or killing someone. You shouldn't teach your kid how to use things like guns or swords or any other weapon that is used for sport until they are at least old enough to practice some safe judgement and restraint.

You could say that it's okay if he only uses it when his dad is also holding the same gun and aiming it, but what happens if the kid gets a hold of it when the father isn't around, or when he's a few years older learns how to open his dad's locked box where he keeps the gun or something? Guns aren't "evil", but they are dangerous, even to experienced users. If it goes off accidentally and injures/kills the kid or worse, someone else, then that will obviously suck for everyone involved. I know people will probably say, "That's a lot of ifs," and that all that could happen even if he didn't teach the kid how to use the gun, but I think you should hold off on teaching your kid how to use weapons until he/she is a little older, for the same reason you don't put toddlers behind the wheel of a car.

I don't put toddlers behind the wheel of a car because the can't reach the pedals.

</sarcasm>
I see what you're saying, but obviously this child will be raised by his father being taught more about guns, and at one point he will learn about misuse and such.

Moving this video to grinter's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.
