Hitler Remixes Are Big -- on YouTube

"A critically praised but little-seen movie about the last days of Adolf Hitler is getting a new lease on life online as the basis for hundreds of satirical videos..."

It has old and new ones listed. I don't think we have a few of those either.

Are Myspace videos working right now?
posted by mas8705 3 days 7 hours 11 minutes ago • 118 views
*walks up with shield at hand*

Hello, I'm MAS8705... Recently I have gone crazy (hence my new icon) and by using a new found power that has existed for the longest time, I have quickly raised in rankings while others have fallen hard (and if you have been a victim by my actions, I'm sorry)... But while going on my star Dead rampage, I have noticed that when I pull up videos from myspace, they don't seem to play... As much as I wanted to call dead, I'm not sure if something is up with the myspace videos or not...

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Come All Ye Faithful... Doc's getting roasted

If you are like me then you too have a innate distaste or penchant for maliciousness towards this smarmy little chain of peptides.

Come join in the fountain of vitriol that is gathering around to roast the putrid primordial soup we call Doc_M.

*For those of you who don't know he is getting his PhD in biology... way to go tax dollars.

Never has the *viral tag been more appropriate.

Dark, but in that good way, like when you cry during childbirth, or get divorced during childbirth.

Stop *deading my Cosby!
posted by firefly 3 weeks 4 days ago • 175 views
Twice now in the past day and a half, my Cosby Show video has been marked dead, when in fact, in isn’t. If you go to the YouTube source, the vid is fine. Yes it may take a while to load, or it may be region blocked depending on where you are (and I can't help that, I'm sorry), but as of this writing, the vid is there, trust me.
Furthermore, the YouTube submitter is "cosbyshow", and the name is Carsey Werner, the company that distributes the show. So unless you see a "video removed for terms of use violation" or something similar, it's NOT dead.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled sifting, already in progress...

Nerve's & IFC's 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches of All Times
posted by ant 1 month ago • 617 views
http://www.nerve.com/dispatches/nerveeditors/50GreatestComedySketches/01/ from http://www.boingboing.net/2008/04/09/fifty-greatest-comed.html

"There's no more sure-fire way to kill something's intrinsic comedic value than to try to examine what makes it funny. The minute you start thinking, you stop laughing. So why, then, have Nerve and IFC.com devoted an enormous amount of time, manpower, monetary resources, server space and posh catered lunches to the pursuit of ranking the boob tube's finest sketch comedy offerings?

In part, we're here because magical new technology (*coughYouTubecough*) allows us to do more than just pontificate for paragraphs on end — now we can pontificate for paragraphs on end and provide audiovisual evidence to back up those pontifications. We provide the context, share our thoughts and feelings, and let you commence with the guffawing and, naturally, the disagreeing. After all, the comedy sketch — short, sweet, completely silly or shot through with social commentary — worms its way into the public mind like nothing else, and has easily made the leap to the web when other forms have faltered.

Any list is bound by the limitations set on it — consciously and unconsciously — by its creators: we kept our 50 selections to stuff that's appeared on television by choice, and to what's appeared in English out of necessity. One must also bear in mind the availability of material; who knows what comedic treasures are lost to us because they simply don't exist anymore?

But of the sketch comedy that remains viewable, this is some of the best. Is the list definitive? That's for you, the audience to tell us. And we're sure you will, loudly and angrily. Before you do you, though, remember: it's comedy. Best not to overthink it..."
