Actually you need 2 power points to promote your own videos. It's explained under probationary members, just to confuse you.

Well, it seems that even though I have been bestowed new powers, that I cannot use them, as Siftbot has it out for me. I tried to selfishly promote one of my videos, and no luck. Sifty says I don't have enough power points. The FAQ says I only need 1, and I most certainly have one. What am I doing wrong?

The channel is for jazz & blues and he's definatly the latter. I'll agree it's a bit confusing when it just says "Jazz", but hover your mousepointer over it and you'll see.
